In Marriage Counseling...
You can
become free to respond in a loving way to the needs of your
partner, without fear of losing yourself.
Marriage Counseling...
lets you tell clearly what you need and want, and listen openly
to your partner's needs. You then create a truly balanced,
mutually nurturing relationship. Closeness and intimacy flow
naturally and spontaneously.
Marriage Counseling...
encourages you to ask the
right questions, instead of giving advice or arguing for
your point of view. It reduces conflict and leads to productive
problem-solving. Differences become a source of creative
cooperation, rather than a justification for destructive
competition.
Marriage Counseling...
allows you to listen carefully to yourself,
so that you
realize that you really do know what you want. As you accept
and appreciate the human quality of your own desires, you
can afford to be more responsive to and supportive of the
wishes of your partner. You learn to relate to your partner
in a way that affirms that your needs and theirs are equally
important.
You don't have to choose between
giving up yourself in order to be in a relationship or giving
up your relationship in order to be yourself. Marriage
counseling helps you to have
both!

Why trust us?
Of the hundreds of people offering relationship advice, how can you choose
who to listen to; why should you trust us with your most important intimate
relationships problems?
Very simple. we have been there AND we have applied our training, knowledge,
theories, understandings, etc., to our own personal and business lives, and
have lived to tell the tale.
We've been married (TO EACH OTHER) for over 48 years. We've been business
partners for 37 years. We've experienced, survived, and grown from almost everything that two people
together will ever run into.
Are any of the challenges we've faced threatening to destroy
YOUR marriage?
Are you, like many of our clients, trying to cope with situations like these that you've never had to handle before?
- Coping with major and minor moves, career changes, failures and successes;
- Struggling through stagnation, new directions, changing roles;
- Facing separations, distance, infidelity;
- Grieving a stillborn child — our first;
- Adjusting to births;
- Living with children growing, grown, moving out, succeeding, failing;
- Handling teenage runaways, drug abuse, and impressive achievements;
- Working through the deaths of parents — long illnesses, nursing homes,
suicide;
- Celebrating investment successes and
recovering from miserable failures;
- Getting older, loving it and hating it;
- Caring for grandchildren.
We've personally dealt with every one of these challenges. And we've helped our clients manage them, too.
Although we've never personally experienced the trauma of divorce, we've had years of experience helping couples
who are thinking about divorce.
Often, we can help even if you think divorce is your only option.

FAQ
Q: How long does Marriage
Counseling take?
A: Sometimes only one session; sometimes a lot longer. It
depends on many different things. We'll talk about it in the
first session.
Q: Do we see both of you at the
same time? A: No, you only work with one of us.
Otherwise, we tend to speak at the same
time and say the same things.
Q: How do I choose which of you to see? A: Decide if you're
more comfortable with a man or a woman. If it doesn't matter,
you can have a session with each and then decide, or you can
flip a coin — or you can just see whose schedule matches
yours.
Q: How much does it cost? A: A lot less than a divorce.
It's an investment in your future.
Q: Is it covered by insurance? A: Usually not. To make
insurance work, you each have to have a mental illness
diagnosis.
Q: Have you written anything else I can look at? A: Lots.
You can check out our blogs and publications at www.relationshiphq.com.
Q: What do your clients have to say
about you?
A: Although we can't identify clients by name, you
can read some of their comments here.
"Committed to helping people use all of
their inner resources
to create satisfying and fulfilling lives."
